The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is offering a Paddle Ohio event on the Muskingum River to promote paddling on Ohio’s state-designated wild, scenic and recreational rivers and water trails.

Muskingum River, Sunday, September 25 Noon-4pm

This three-and-a-half-hour float will begin with check-in at 12pm. Participants should meet at the Stockport Lock and Dam parking lot located at the southeast intersection of the Muskingum River and the Broadway Street/Route 266 Bridge (Latitude/Longitude coordinates 39.54683, -81.78819). To register, please contact Doug Leed (614) 265-6484 or douglas.leed@dnr.state.oh.us.

The Paddle Ohio initiative rewards individuals with a commemorative pin each time they paddle four different Ohio scenic rivers, water trails or designated state park lakes. Participants submit information about their paddling trips on the Paddle Ohio registration form, and ODNR will mail the pin to qualifying individuals. Pins are available for paddlers who paddle 4, 8, 12, 16 and up to a maximum of 20 different segments of designated waterways.
